DLD Enterprises which stands for Determined to Learn and Develop was created in 1992 by Donald L. Dowridge, Jr. on the heel of volunteering at his son's elementary school in 1992. DLD which is located in Tampa, Florida is recognized as one of the premier African-American Business that have made a positive impact on many people and their life.

DLD, since its inception has gone on to be a notable minority own business by proven its ability to sustain. We are proud of our track record to have had and still have the skills to motivate many to live a life of Altitude and overtake the negative detours that attempt to defeat many of us. After retiring from the U.S. Postal Service where Donald was the first African-American Manager from the then new OCR Section, he found himself and DLD being blessed by God's Favor and Love. Lockheed Martin became DLD's very first contract award inwhich Donald was assigned as LM's Motivational Liaison. During the five year period he motivated and inspired LM's employees, staff, and clientele. Management could not help but to acknowledged the remarkable transformation that had engulfed productivity, assurance, and attitude within the workplace. This is just one in many businesses, organizations, government, youth groups, churches, and yes, family reunions that have felt the Altitude impact of DLD over the last 16 years.

DLD became known within the African-American communities of Tampa Bay and throughout for not being a business that forgot it's painfull walk to growth and success. By using the medium of TV, radio, and print, DLD began a campaign of delivering positive messages of hope and prosperity through billboards, hosting motivational television shows on local cable, and volunteering in certain sectors and organizations.

In the present Donald is heard on two radio stations, one in the Tampa Bay area (WTMP 1150AM / 96.1FM) and in St. Petersburg, Florida (WRXB 1590AM), where he host the "DLD Motivational Moment" to rave reviews. What was the past is once again the present, again setting his sights on his third love(writing), Donald is currently engaging a level of energy into authoring his tenth motivational book and he is also writing articles as well.
